Real Dilemmas Equine Photography Workshop - April 11-13, 2025

It will be 5 years since my last workshop I hosted. In the past years I have attended a few workshops and retreats. Since retreats are not really a teaching event, but more of a fun relaxed photography get together in some very scenic locations, they were perfect for me. Workshops I expect to learn, which I did come away with some education and tips. I am an experienced photographer but I like to keep my photography knowledge growing. What I question at these workshops is, yes we have perfect locations, experienced models and a lead photographer posing and picking the locations. Rarely do they explain what steps they are doing and why they are doing them. They may of even did a test photoshoot at the location testing the light and choosing the best location. My question is, will the attendees be able to go home and lead their own photo session with a client or model?

We will find our backdrop at the location together as I explain how I find the best light and a spot that is safe for everyone. Then we will give the model a quick coaching on posing and signals I give while everyone listens. After a quick demo everyone will get a turn on coaching the models, with only suggestions from me. I want to provide training and education to the attendees so they can go home and provide clients with not just great photos but an experience that their customers will brag about to their friends. I want attendees to have the education how to get clients and to keep them.

This short workshop will be packed with learning and touching on many subjects of having a successful equine photography business.
